Bio
Kasey Clay always had music growing up in a small town in Central Texas. It wasn’t until a friend in college was learning to play a Robert Earl Keen song on the guitar that Kasey learned to play a song herself. She spent more time playing songs by Willie Nelson, Pat Green and Cory Morrow around a campfire than attending classes during college.
While sitting on a bar stool on a slow night at her favorite watering hole, Kasey found herself tapping her foot to the song playing in her head. She wrote her first song on the back of her bar tab that night. One week later, she played Whiskey Dreams at the open mic in that same bar in College Station. She kept writing from the heart. Kasey was asked by several friends to perform at their weddings. She’s played her original, Daddy’s Little Girl, as a Father-Daughter dance and there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Kasey even wrote Aggie Love for a couple’s first dance as husband and wife.
Since then, Kasey has played countless songwriter showcases and competitions all across Texas. She’s been in house bands in several cities in North Central Texas. She’s performed plenty of late nights in bars across Dallas/Fort Worth where she now calls home. Kasey has played to crowds at the Fort Worth Stockshow and Rodeo, Fort Worth Main Street Arts Festival, and several other local festivals. She has opened for Hayes Carll, Charlie Shafter, Danny Woods and Earl Musick. Kasey has even played on the Crowman’s local morning radio show. She sings with a passion and a heart that’s as big as Texas.
